In February 2009, Liz and Andrew were out shopping for furniture, looking for a new sofa. We went to a variety of stores and one of the last ones we visited had a huge turtle foot rest, just inside the front door. We're talking a lifesize sea turtle, certainly not a typical home furnishing here in Cincinnati, yet it was the first piece of furniture on display. Andrew thought it was very cool, but we really didn't think much more about it.
A couple weeks later, Liz was at a baby shower and she won a shower game and received a doorprize. The hostess of the party did not know Liz or the Turtle story, but when Liz opened the wrapping paper, it was a note pad covered in turtles. A couple of the people who knew the story couldn't believe it, but Liz shrugged it off, figuring it might be a sign for someone else she knew. Nevertheless, that night she went home and took a pregnancy test just to be sure. You guessed it, another baby is on the way, due in November 2009. The legend continues to grow.
